Recycled Titanium & GRS

Recycled titanium retains value when it is returned to a defined material specification. KYHE’s DH-S route focuses on selected titanium resources, powder production and manufacturing applications.

From titanium resources to new applications

Selected feed materials

Sources can include titanium machining chips, off-specification atomized powders and defective components. Feed selection is matched to the material being produced.

DH-S processing

Material preparation, powder processing and classification connect the feed source to a defined powder specification.

Application evaluation

The powder is selected and evaluated for its manufacturing route, with compatible binder or feedstock systems where required.

Sponge titanium can also be used as a feed material. Recycled content should therefore be established for the relevant material and order, rather than inferred from the company’s overall process description.

GRS documentation

The displayed certificate identifies Kyhe Tech. (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. and GRS 4.0. Its stated validity ended on 20 October 2025.

Cost, energy and carbon: three distinct comparisons

Production cost

KYHE reports approximately 60% lower production cost against its conventional powder-production benchmark. Customer pricing depends on the quoted specification and commercial terms.

Energy consumption

An energy comparison should identify the process steps, output quantity and reference route. Ask for the basis relevant to your material specification.

Carbon footprint

A carbon-footprint comparison should identify the functional unit, system boundary and assessment method. It cannot be inferred from a cost reduction or a GRS certificate.

These benefits can occur together, but they describe different outcomes. For procurement reporting, agree the relevant evidence rather than applying one percentage to all three measures.
