RECYCLED TITANIUM. MANUFACTURING POSSIBILITIES.info@ky-he.com
KYHE / TITANIUM TECHNOLOGY

Applications

Select titanium powder for the way you manufacture. Alloy, particle distribution, chemistry and processing conditions must work together to meet the requirements of the finished component.

Metal injection molding (MIM)

MIM uses metal powder with a binder to form a feedstock, which is molded, debound and sintered. Powder selection should therefore be considered alongside the binder and the complete processing route.

Powder selection

Review particle distribution, chemistry and packing behavior against your process requirements.

Binder matching

Discuss molding behavior, residual carbon and compatibility with the selected debinding route.

Review the binder system

Feedstock evaluation

Bring powder and binder together and evaluate flow, shrinkage and the resulting component.

Additive manufacturing

“3D printing” describes several processes with different material requirements. Tell us whether you use binder jetting, laser powder bed fusion or another route before selecting a powder specification.

Binder-based routes

Evaluate powder spreading, binder interaction and the subsequent debinding or sintering process. Powder and part-level acceptance requirements should be defined together.

Powder-bed fusion

Review the machine’s chemistry, flow, particle-size and powder-handling requirements. Qualification must be demonstrated for the specific process; a particle-size label alone does not establish compatibility.

Component considerations

Consumer electronics & wearables

Discuss lightweight frames, housings and support structures, with attention to geometry, surface finish and dimensional requirements.

Outdoor products & hardware

Discuss brackets, fasteners and other durable components, including loading, finish and the relevant corrosion-test conditions.

Specialized engineering

For applications with additional qualification requirements, define the material specification, component tests and required approvals before ordering.

Material suitability and any required qualifications are evaluated for each application.

Start with your application

Provide the part or process, equipment, estimated volume and performance requirements. KYHE can discuss material supply, technical support or a finished-component project.
